Bay School - Tornado Safe Room

This project included the MPE systems for a new 4100 sq ft classroom/emergency tornado shelter building. The building was a multi-purpose classroom which would be used as a free-standing emergency tornado shelter in case of emergency. The building was funded through a FEMA grant through the State of Arkansas and was designed to FEMA standards for Community Shelters. The MPE systems included emergency generator for back-up power and an HVAC system with emergency ventilation in case of power loss. Strickland Engineering provided the MPE engineering services to Brackett Krennerich Architects, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
